UKRAY (you-cray) is a Ukrainian-born, Portland based lyricist and vocalist who produces, masters, and mixes his own vocals for his bodies of work. He incorporates production software with heavy instrumentals. He plays guitar and piano proficiently as well as MPC. He is highly ambidextrous with 18+ years experience in hand-played instruments and 15+ years experience with production software. He has an educational background in physics, graphic design, classical and jazz music theory, and worked as a sound engineer full-time for multiple clubs in both Ukraine and the US.
   His aesthetic is highly conceptualized and well though out from his Instagram feed to his live performances which veer toward the avant-garde. He is detail-oriented and endeavors to create a transcendental experience for his fans while performing. He puts effort into tapping in to the vibe of a show, crowd, or theme and displays genuine variety in his musical as well as live performance stylings.
